I did not set out to build a wellness app. I set out to fix my own neck.

I spend most of my day at a screen, and like a lot of people I also train at the gym several times a week. That contrast made something obvious: I would work hard on my body for an hour, then undo it with eight hours of hunching over a phone and laptop. By the evening my neck was stiff, my shoulders were rounded, and my screen time was embarrassing.

I tried the usual fixes. Hard app blockers lasted about three days before I switched them off. Reminders to stretch got ignored. What finally worked was tiny and automatic: a quick stretch attached to the apps I opened most. That idea became StretchLock — and BetterBody Labs, the studio I am building around simple, repeatable wellness habits.

I am not a doctor. I am someone who trains, sits at a desk too long, and reads the research so I can write about what actually helps. I share what works for me, cite real sources, and keep learning in public. Follow along below — I write about the journey, the science, and the small habits that add up.
